Man Smuggles Erectile Dysfunction Drug Into LAX

Can you believe that a man attempted to sneak 63 pounds of an erectile dysfunction chemical into the Los Angeles International Airport? It’s true!
The Korean national was abruptly stopped by Customs and Border Protection officers on December 6th after they noticed quite a few pouches full of a white powdery substance
in his suitcases. The pouches were heat sealed. After claiming that the substance was harmless and a Chinese herb, officials sent the powder in for analysis.
Needless to say, it wasn’t a chinese herb. It was $179,000 worth of tadalafil, which is one of the active ingredients in the majority of erectile dysfunction drugs currently on the market.
The Korean man had intended on staying in a hotel in downtown Los Angeles, however, officials have said that he did not have the right to bring the chemical into the United States. Anne Maricich,
who is the Assistant Director of CUstoms and Border Protection in Los Angeles.
“When you see this quantity, it leads us to believe there’s some larger distribution here in the U.S.,” Maricich said. “After it’s been processed and pressed into pills it’s on the market or on EBay.”
This is how many of the illegal drug websites end up getting the ingredients to process and press erectile dysfunction pills.
